Northwestern Community Services is seeking a Psychiatrist(s) to provide outpatient clinical based services for our Shenandoah County Adult Regional Center located in Woodstock, Virginia and for our Page County Adult Regional Center located in Luray, Virginia. Hours and times are negotiable. Services may be provided on site or through telepsychiatry. Provider location for delivery of telepsychiatry services to be negotiated.

Qualified applicants must be board certified or board eligible in psychiatry. Candidates must also possess a valid medical license issued through the Virginia Board of Medicine and must possess, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Registration.

Duties: The incumbent in this position is responsible for medication evaluation and management to a range of clients having psychiatric/mental health and substance abuse disorders under the supervision of consulting psychiatrist(s). The position also provides evaluation, treatment and discharge planning services for consumers in psychiatric facilities and those being diverted from state hospital admissions. Qualifications: Licensure in Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health. Current prescriptive authority required; ANCC PMHNP certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience working with persons who have serious mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
