It is the mission of Northwestern Community Services to help people through life's challenges with quality behavioral health services guided by principles of respect, empowerment, and self-determination. A continuum of care is provided for individuals with or at-risk of severe and persistent mental illness, acute psychiatric distress, substance abuse, mental retardation and/or developmental delay.
It is our vision to:
- respect the potential and capacity of each individual for self-direction, healing, and recovery;
- provide timely services which are accessible, affordable, and adaptable to individual need;
- identify unmet behavioral health needs within the community;
- collaborate and develop with individuals, groups and agencies services that promote community wellness;
- advocate, promote, and secure resources to implement programs;
- ensure accountability for the design, implementation and operation of programs, and
- utilize evidence based practices that advance positive outcomes.
