We offer a full benefit package with enrollment in Virginia Retirement System (fully paid by employer) for full time positions and partial benefits for part time positions.

Full time position based in our Winchester Adult Regional Center. Provides case management for an assigned caseload of clients having serious and persistent mental illness. Develops, implements and reviews service plans, working with community resources to meet client needs; and maintains client records. Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field and status of Medicaid Qualified Mental Health Case Manager.

Behavioral Specialist

Ten month positions based in Frederick County Public Schools. Provides mental health services to children and youth. Provides support and intervention to clients and families; develops, implements and reviews individual service plans; is member of multidisciplinary team collaborating with school personnel and other community resources and services. May include some evenings. Bachelor’s degree in related human services field strongly preferred or four years’ clinical experience working directly with individuals with mental illness or mental retardation and status of Medicaid Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Child Adolescent Crisis Intervention Therapist

Full time position based in Front Royal, VA. Requires the incumbent to work as a mobile crisis therapist providing community-based crisis prevention and intervention to a wide variety of children and adolescents having various types of disabilities and to work with other community agencies, including local schools, law enforcement, and other agencies in the prevention or reduction of mental health emergencies, of unnecessary psychiatric hospitalization, detention by law enforcement, or other events that may adversely affect a child or adolescent. Advanced educational degree (license preferred, but not required) in a relevant field with professional, clinical experience in the provision of crisis prevention, crisis intervention, and crisis case management, or a combination of education, training, and experience indicating the possession of essential knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Child Adolescent In-Home Therapist

Position based in Front Royal. Responsible for providing services for an assigned caseload of families in which youth are at-risk of out-of-home placement or in need of services to reintegrate an out-of-home juvenile back into the family and community. Provides assessment, counseling, treatment, client/family stabilization, and case management services, needed by youth and family affected by trauma, within the family and community environment rather than from a clinic setting. Master’s degree in a relevant human services field with experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in delivering a wide variety of clinical services preferred, or a combination of education, experience, and training indicating the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in the treatment of children and adolescents affected by trauma preferred. Must be able to provide own transportation as necessary to perform job duties. LPC or LCSW preferred. Rate of pay is on a case basis and is paid per billable unit of service.

Crisis Intervention Therapist

Qualifications are a Nursing or Master’s degree in a relevant field with professional and clinical experience in the provision of crisis prevention, crisis intervention, and crisis case management, or a combination of education, training and experience indicating the possession of essential knowledge, skills and abilities. Health Planning Region 1 Initiatives Manager (Position #R0090)

Management position to develop, implement, and monitor regional initiatives for eight Community Services Boards, three State hospitals, and the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services. Responsible for all regional programming including utilization management, hospital diversion programming, referral, community education and liaison, provider network oversight and communication, as well as financial/budget program responsibility. Position requires a thorough knowledge of services, programs, service providers, principles and practices applicable to behavioral health programs specific to mental health, mental retardation and substance abuse populations. Must have the ability to creatively develop solutions and strategies to resolve healthcare system issues/barriers for consumers. Ability to work independently and built consensus among regional parties to form recommendations for the Forum a priority. Excellent knowledge, skills, and abilities in word processing, spreadsheets and database systems are required along with a good knowledge of consumer management information systems including clinical record management and reimbursement/billing functions. Experience and education equivalent to a Master’s degree in behavioral health required. Salary negotiable depending on experience and education from $50,000 to $60,000.
Position will be accountable to the HPR 1 Executive Director Forum and will be housed at the CSB located closest to the selected candidate’s home area, with day-to-day supervision provided by that CSB. Responsible for providing support, assessment, and training in independent living skills for individuals deemed eligible for Mental Retardation Supported Living Services. Secretary/Receptionist

Full-time position in our Shenandoah County Mental Health Center in Woodstock, VA. Major duties include clerical support; psychiatric transcription; greeting and assisting clients; maintaining files; receiving payments; and computerized posting. Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work effectively with the public, sometimes in a stressful atmosphere, and have a combination of training and experience demonstrating ability to effectively perform essential job duties. Microsoft and Medical Manager a plus. Hours are M-F and involves one evening per week.
